Privacy Policy for PTF Languages
How Passport To Fluency handles information in the PTF Languages iOS app, on this website, and on Expat Ally and Brazilian Flow. Last updated September 7, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how Passport To Fluency (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use:
- The PTF Languages iOS application, listed on the Apple App Store.
- Expat Ally and Brazilian Flow websites and learning services that the app opens.
- This journal at passporttofluency.com.
Apple is not responsible for our privacy practices. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use PTF Languages or our websites.
1. No App Store or in-app sign-up
PTF Languages does not create user accounts. You cannot register inside the app or through the Apple App Store. You may only sign in with an Expat Ally or Brazilian Flow account that you already created on the website. We do not receive your Apple ID password. If you paid Apple for the app itself, that purchase is processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile
When you sign in to PTF Languages, we collect the email address and password (or other credentials) you submit so we can authenticate you against your existing website account. We then load profile and learning data already stored with that account, which may include your name or display name, course enrollments, lesson progress, scores, preferences, and similar study records.
App and device
The app may collect device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, crash logs, and coarse diagnostics needed to keep the product working. We use this to debug failures and decide which devices to support.
Usage
We record how you use lessons in the app (for example, modules opened, items completed, time spent) and sync that progress to the same account on the website so your study continues across devices.
This website
passporttofluency.com may use cookies or similar storage for essential site operation, analytics, and remembering preferences. You can control cookies in your browser. The journal does not require an PTF Languages account to read articles.
Information we do not collect in the app
PTF Languages is not a sign-up form. We do not ask you in the app to create a new login, and we do not collect government ID, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone audio unless a future feature (such as optional pronunciation practice) requests permission first and this policy is updated.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate you and provide Expat Ally and Brazilian Flow in the app.
- Save and restore learning progress.
- Operate, secure, and improve PTF Languages and our websites.
- Respond to support requests sent to support@passporttofluency.com.
- Comply with law and enforce our terms, including the EULA.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use app account data to show you third-party advertising networks.
4. How we share information
We share information only:
- With service providers who host, authenticate, store, or analyze our products under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- Between Expat Ally, Brazilian Flow, PTF Languages, and this website when needed to run a single account experience.
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect users, our services, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of assets, with notice where required.
Apple may receive information that you provide directly to Apple (for example App Store purchases or crash reports you send to Apple). That collection is governed by Apple.
5. Retention
Account and progress data are kept while your website account remains open, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, disputes, and legal obligations. Device logs are kept only as long as useful for support and reliability.
6. Your choices
- You may stop using PTF Languages by deleting it from your device. That does not by itself delete your website account.
- To access, correct, or delete your learning account, use the Expat Ally or Brazilian Flow website, or email support@passporttofluency.com from the address on the account.
- To create an account, visit the websites. The App Store listing and the app itself cannot register you.
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and certain U.S. states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
PTF Languages and the related websites are intended for users who are at least 13 years old, or the higher age required in your country to consent to personal data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact support@passporttofluency.com and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those places may have different data-protection laws than your home country.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including encrypted transport for sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes to PTF Languages data practices will be reflected here for App Store reviewers and users.
